Our Saint Demetrios Stewardship is under new leadership. Margo Lambros will chair the committee, assisted by Mark Alberding. Please feel free to contact them with any suggestions, questions or concerns that you have. Better yet, become a member of the Stewardship Committee and share your ideas. The Committee meets the third Monday of every month.

This is an exciting time to become a part of the Stewardship Committee. The Stewardship Committee is an essential body of the Church, whose purpose is critical to sustaining and growing our parish. It is responsible for raising the funds needed to maintain the ongoing financial needs of our community, which fuel our spiritual life and community activities. This is totally separate from the capital campaign, which seeks to raise funds to enable us to improve and expand our physical structures.

Our community has grown significantly in recent years, as has the number of ministries. The Stewardship Committee needs to grow accordingly, which is why we're asking for your participation. The Committee also needs to reflect the diversity of the Stewards of our beloved parish. Whatever your background or abilities, our Parish will be stronger through your support. Just as our physical bodies have many parts with different functions and abilities, so is the Body of our Church.

Please contact Margo Lambros (margolambros@hotmail.com / 410.465.0371) or Mark Alberding (alberding@rcn.com / 410.592.5213).

We need to continue to move the parish toward financial independence by covering all of our operating expenses through Stewardship free will contributions.  This would eliminate the burden of mandatory fund raising.  Currently, Stewardship funds approximately 70% of the parish operating budget.

Activate Parishioners
We strive to encourage Stewards to volunteer their time and talent to enrich the ministries of the Church.  Fostering involvement develops fresh ideas and new perspectives.  This leads to a renewed spirit of energy and enthusiasm.

Commitment

By being active and giving Stewards, we "commit ourselves to Christ our God."  Active involvement of our diverse parishioners leads to more worship, more ministries and Christian fellowship.
