About Us

GOYA activities will establish new friendships and can develop your lives, faith, and morals. The friendships you will make in GOYA will last a lifetime and the experiences will be unforgettable. For those of you who do not know what GOYA does, there are a variety of activities. GOYA consists of the four characteristics - Worship, Fellowship, Service, and Witness. GOYA has a monthly meeting with an after meeting activity. There are many community service events such as, serving at a local homeless shelter; helping Support the Troops, and Christmas Caroling. GOYAns will also help with their church stewardship by volunteering at the Saint Demetrios Festival (Soda booth), serving at the Suburban Players play and cleaning the church on Good Friday. There are fundraisers to help the GOYA treasury and fellowship activities such as religious retreats, dances, and lock-ins. There are basketball teams for both boys and girls, which will attend many other church basketball tournaments in the area. Any GOYAn who is interested in playing basketball may come to practices every Wednesday (Girls 6:00pm to 7:00pm and Boys 7:00pm to 8:00pm). Every GOYAn must fill out the Greater Washington/Baltimore Greek Orthodox Youth Basketball Association Tournament Rules and Regulations form and health form whether or not you/your child will be playing basketball.

Notices and flyers will always be mailed out to your home as well as posted on the Youth bulletin board under GOYA.
